About the Artist
Born in NYC, from European painters and sculptors. At an early age knew she would be an artist. Dorothea wanted to be a fine artist and taught herself how to create oil paintings. But with the trend of drip and colored boxes she thought she was born in the wrong century and went into commercial art. She became a successful designer in demand, for fortune 500 and medical arts. Discovering New Mexico early in life, she knew this is where she wanted to be.

After 30 years of designing, painting, winning awards and 1 man shows, she settled down at the foothills of the Manzano Mts. to pursue her painting. She teaches at the Belen Art League Gallery and is a member of the Oil Painters of America.
