Valencia County Arts! is a collaborative effort by artists, galleries and art organizations to promote the arts in Valencia County, New Mexico. It began in 2006 with our first guidebook (2006-2007 issue) showcasing over three dozen artists and galleries. The guidebook was not only distributed to local galleries, visitors’ centers and hotels, but reached art patrons outside our county as well. They were given to select individuals at art events in New Mexico, Arizona, New York, Pennsylvania and beyond. Several artists received commissions because their work was seen in Valencia County Arts! and the publication also brought more visitors to our galleries and a greater awareness of the arts in our county.
Pick up our current issue (2009-2010) at Valencia County galleries and museums and at visitor's centers throughout the state of New Mexico.
